FRAMING

We do not offer a framing service. The reasons being are:

  • Framing is a very personal choice. As in, the print needs to fit in with the environment where it will eventually be placed.

  • There is a higher risk of damage to the frame/glass during shipping.

  • The cost of shipping insurance of framed prints can prove to be cost prohibitive.

If you do have a framer that you wish to use, provide the address and we can send your order directly to them. We advise that you have your print framed as soon as possible, to help protect it when displayed.

Almost stepped on this little fella hiking in Indiana Dunes NP. He said his name was The Duke. I told him my name was Frank. We both knew we were lying.

DAMAGED PRINTS

All prints are packed, with great care, in reinforced tubes, boxes, or padded envelopes. This greatly reduces the possibility of any damage during shipping. Damage in transit is very rare.

All shipping includes tracking.

Once you receive your order, please check your prints as soon as possible. Please unwrap with care – avoiding putting fingerprints on the print itself. Keep hold of the original packaging, in the event that the print has to be returned.

If there is any damage, email LCSmith@TheMountCo.com.com immediately and we will rectify the issue as soon as possible.

An empty house in San Luis Valley, just outside Great Sand Dunes NP. I love how you can only see through one window.

WHO IS THE BEARDED MAN

2014 – A couple of lifelong buddies, Preston – my son – and Braden, are getting ready for college. “You know that bearded guy logo we’ve been messing around with in class?” “Yeah, what about it?”  “Why don’t we put it on a T-shirt?”  “Draw it on a T-shirt?  That’s stupid.” “No, print it!” “Tight.” “Dope.” And with that dazzling display of genius, insight and grammar, our company, TheMountCo and the idea that would become The Bearded Man were born. It ranks right up there with Chuck Norris discovering Canada.  Or when he made the internet.

I’ve been an innovative entrepreneur and supporter of our National Parks for over 30 years. I did not have a beard when The Bearded Man was born. He’s not me.
